ABOUT

STORY

I grew up in Maine — my parents are both artists and taught me to observe and value my surroundings. Most of my professional experience stems from my time in California. I’ve worked for international design firms IDEO and Smart Design, helping clients utilize design thinking to apply to their own businesses. I’ve worked for Bumblebee Spaces, a new venture that is reimagining how we live and occupy less space using technology. I’ve traveled the world extensively for work (and play) and have most recently landed full circle in Maine with my family.

PERSPECTIVE

My purpose is to create lovely spaces that feel memorable, effortlessly functional and meet my clients’ stylistic, lifestyle, and economic goals. I draw my inspiration from a love of nature + understanding the impact our environment has on our being. I find moments to bring the outdoors in, to introduce a treasured piece of art or vintage find, and I combine this with the simplicity of modern design. I find that combining old with new creates a layered effect that feels timeless and always current.

APPROACH

My approach is rooted within human centered design — touring your space, experiencing how you use it, listening to your needs, understanding your lifestyle, and seeing what inspires you. My process can be as collaborative as you’d like, it truly depends on the client.

EDUCATION

Interior Architecture + Interior Design | University of California, Berkeley

Bachelor of Arts | Colby College, Maine

EXPERTISE

My expertise spans all types of projects: on residential renovations I produce floor plans, material inspiration, drawings or renderings to communicate the design intent. Any changes in structure, plumbing or electrical require collaboration with an architect or GC.

On larger and new-construction projects I focus on the interiors and work in tandem with architectural + build teams. I have experience project managing the design side of larger construction projects and love details + collaborating with others.

NETWORK

My network of collaborating professionals includes architects, builders, artists, and artisans whose work I admire. I look forward to developing more connections with local designers and makers — please reach out!

LOCATION

MAINE +

I live and work in midcoast Maine, have clients spanning both US coasts and am comfortable taking on remote design projects with some flexibility to travel.
